Solacom granted 3 U.S. Patents for public safety technology

- US 8,682,975 B2; System and Method for Identity Managed Collaboration
o The patent allows a dynamic mix of participants using PSTN (public switched telephone network) cellular, Internet Protocol or radio-based devices or platforms, to participate in a collaboration session that can include voice, video and data.
- US 8,856,245 B2; Session-Based Short Message Service Management
o The patent outlines a method of accepting SMS messages at a gateway and converting them to instant messages and routing those messages to an operator.
- US 8,830,987 B2; IP-Based Call Answering Point Selection and Routing
o The patent covers the selection and geo-spatial routing of a call based on its IP address.
