SOLiD Showcases Current and Emerging Wireless Densification Solutions 2013 PCIA Wireless Infrastructure Show
Sunnyvale, CA (PRWEB) October 07, 2013 -- SOLiD, a global communications technology innovator, is honored to be sharing its unique perspective and approach to wireless densification at the PCIA Wireless Infrastructure Show this week in Hollywood, FL. Two of SOLiD’s executives - Ken Sandfeld and Dennis Rigney - will join other industry experts and customers on Wednesday, October 9 on separate panels to discuss the latest trends and benefits of next-generation network technologies as well as case study best-practices for enabling wireless communications in expansive subway systems.
"The evolution of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) is one of the most significant step-change movements and opportunities to hit the wireless communications industry to-date," said Ken Sandfeld, Vice President of Sales, SOLiD. "Our team looks forward to forging new partnerships this week as we highlight SOLiD’s unique market position as a leading innovator of wireless densification and public-safety solutions."
SOLiD, which recently celebrated the official opening of its U.S. headquarters in the heart of Silicon Valley, raised the bar when it launched its wideband ALLIANCE multi-service platform that converges cellular and public-safety services on the same DAS network. The company is currently incubating technology for Small Cell and Indoor applications as well as low-cost DWDM Tunable Optical solutions for the Enterprise and Carrier space.
As a proud member of the HetNet Forum, SOLiD is sponsoring the "Evolution of DAS" panel at 3 PM on October 9. Mr. Sandfeld will join colleagues to examine trends in Outdoor DAS and next-generation in-building networks with Dan Meyer, Editor in Chief of RCR Wireless News, leading an engaging discussion as the moderator. Mr. Sandfeld will discuss the benefits of an all-optical infrastructure including the virtually limitless capacity of fiber and its ability to deliver RF and IP-based services and applications.
On a separate panel also beginning at 3 PM on October 9, "All Aboard! Opportunities in Rail Transportation," Mr. Rigney will share recent insights from SOLiD’s DAS deployment at the New York City Subway. SOLiD possesses a broad portfolio of Mass Transit projects including the Seoul Metro, as well as additional North American and Global customer deployments at hospitals, stadiums, universities, government and corporate campuses.
SOLiD’s team looks forward to returning to The Wireless Infrastructure Show to share thought leadership and network among the more than 2,000 specialists and various industry stakeholders the annual conference attracts. Please contact SOLiD for more information or to schedule a meeting.
