Songs To Educate Celebrates Week Of The Young Child With Education Events in Boulder
(PRWEB) April 14, 2015 -- To celebrate Week of the Young Child, Paul and Melanie Zeir, the founders of Songs To Educate and Talking Hands Talking Feet, are promoting and training teachers with their innovative approach to Arts Integrated Education in Boulder and Denver, Colorado.
Week of the Young Child, sponsored by the National Association for Early Childhood Education promotes education awareness on behalf of the very youngest of learners. Growing awareness supports integrated music and movement learning as central to early childhood development.
So that's where Songs To Educate comes in. More and more parents and teachers around the world are using the original thematic songs and movement theater accompaniment offered by this pathfinding organization. The teaching artistry of Songs To Educate, Talking Hands Talking Feet (THTF) has been creating original education songs since 1997. THTF has established its own independent music label with 12 celebrated albums, including the soon to be released ‘Human Body School’.
"It's all hands on, interactive teaching," says Paul Zeir, "where we train teachers and parents by demonstration and make sure they've got it. Melanie and I are thrilled to introduce this model into schools in Boulder and Denver. We believe every child deserves this extraordinary education method. So our training philosophy is 'You are human, you can do it!'"
Talking Hands Talking Feet is more than a 'music and movement education'. It's human education. That is, the songs go right to the heart of their subjects but always with a special humor and humanity.
"We are in the business of connecting with young lives," asserts Paul, "Education without meaningful context and true promotion of natural intelligence and inquiry is not really education, is it? So, we joyfully challenge the status quo, along with many other parents and teachers around the world. The arts integrated human education movement is gaining momentum."
The mission of Songs To Educate is to provide bright tools to integrate connective song and movement arts in learning every day. These thoughtful songs accompany and encourage young lives on the human journey. Yes, each song correlates within curricular requirements, whether social studies, language arts, math or one of the sciences, but always in the context of the fertile wonder: What is possible for human life?
