Soulful Reggae Singer/Songwriter Gia Yee Featured on Bob Arts TV iStage
KINGSTON, Jamaica (PRWEB) December 27, 2017 -- The female singer/songwriter, whose father hails from Jamaica, fell in love the reggae genre since her childhood. Her love for reggae music is deeply embedded in her soul. She explains, “I love the whole reggae vibe, everything about it – it’s so spiritual.”
This love blossomed into an enjoyable music career that Gia Yee spends time crafting. She believes that traveling to the home of Reggae Music will allow her to get the real authentic reggae sound and vibe. For this reason she travels to Jamaica on numerous occasions, working with producers to mix and master her songs, shoot music videos and promote her music through radio and television interviews.
In late November 2017, Gia Yee returned to Jamaica on another promotional tour and visited the Trelawny Multipurpose Stadium, where she was interviewed on iSTAGE by TV Host, Ras Astor Black.

Gia Yee was excited and honored to be invited to iSTAGE for the interview and show segment with the notable Ras Astor Black - Jamaican Statesman, Influencer, Entrepreneur, Founder and Creator of Bob Arts TV, Reggae Walk of Fame and Museum, and the Ras Astor Black Interactive Music & Arts Learning Institute, who is currently orchestrating the upcoming Reggae Expo set in Montego Bay Jamaica, scheduled for February 2018 - a month long celebration coinciding with the nationally and globally recognized Reggae Month.
The interview and show segment is being aired on Bob Arts TV throughout the Holiday Season, and gives its viewers an up close and personal look into Gia Yee’s background, and the inspirations behind her musical writings and productions.
Early on in the in show segment, Ras Astor Black discovers that Gia Yee, though she resides in Florida, is a ‘Yaadi’ (a Jamaican term that refers to persons that is of Jamaican origin), as Gia explained that her father was born and raised in Jamaica. In response to Ras Astor’s rhetorical question “So, you’re a singer,” Gia explains, “Yes I love to write, it’s my therapy so I write and sing my own songs.”
The show segment features three of Gia’s personal favorite songs, “No Emoji”, “Karma” and “One Heart”, all of which are available on iTunes, Spotify, Google Play, YouTube and Amazon. All three songs are on the newly released self-titled EP, Gia Yee, which debuted this summer on the airwaves, radio and streaming networks across the globe.
Wrapping up the segment, Ras Astor Black referred to the upcoming Reggae in the Sun Music Festival and invited Gia Yee to come back to Jamaica as a participant at the event. The reggae music artiste accepted the invitation to return on a date to be determined, so fans will be updated with this information, as Gia Yee prepares to perform for her Jamaican supporters to give them her love through music.
