SourceMedia Names Allison Adams as Chief Subscription Officer

In this newly created role, Adams is tasked with growing the company’s subscription business, which now accounts for one-third of its total revenues. Her mission spans business development, marketing and sales for SourceMedia’s prestigious portfolio of digital information services – including American Banker, The Bond Buyer and PaymentsSource – as well as development of new products and services.
SourceMedia’s paid-content strategy is an essential component of the company’s broader strategic vision executed over the past three years. Other components include the deployment of advanced performance marketing capabilities, the introduction of large-scale conferences in digital financial services, and the adoption of data-driven editorial decision-making for its award-winning content. The company completed deployment of a new content management system and user experience earlier this year.
Adams, who reports to SourceMedia Chief Executive Officer Doug Manoni, will be instrumental in driving the evolution of the company’s subscription strategy and products in the context of this greater transformation.

Adams was previously Head of Content Engagement & Group Publisher at CFA Institute, where she led content experience and content marketing for the organization’s global audience of over 145,000 members in 163 countries and territories. She was also co-lead of the CFA Institute digital content initiative. Prior to CFA Institute, she was Managing Director & Group Publisher at Institutional Investor Journals and responsible for running a global profit center, II Journals (11 quarterly publications) and II Guides (annual sponsored reports on hot topics such as longevity risk).
