Southern Proper Launches Fall 2015 Collection in Honor of 10th Anniversary

Southern Proper, a clothing company based out of Atlanta, Georgia celebrates its 10-year anniversary this September. Co-founded by Emmie Howard, the company began with neckwear and accessories in designs that celebrate Southern heritage but is expanding its offerings to ladies with its Anniversary Collection this fall. The line will be launched via a staggered approach beginning July 2015 through October 2015.
Since 2005, Southern Proper has been the first truly authentic Southern clothing brand that also works to spread Southern culture across the country. The company has moved from exclusively offering their signature bowties and ties- formally known as “Beaus” and “Gents”- to dressing gentlemen from head to toe and adding essentials for ladies.
Under the creative direction of Hanna Seabrook of Kentucky and Howard herself, the ladies agree that the clothing’s unique touches to classic pieces are what make the brand so popular. The Varsity Vest is a classic example of this. This classic vest features a hidden flask pocket inside the lining. The All Prep Vest, a reversible piece, comes with a bottle opener inside the pocket. It’s the thoughtful details that set Southern Proper apart from the rest.
“The South is best known for its charm and grace, and these are the pillars that have built a 10 year brand legacy,” says Howard. “As we celebrate this style milestone, we introduce the Anniversary Collection that honors our bow tie beginnings and pioneers new products that are deeper than the South’s notable accents.”
This fall will mark its 20th seasonal collection, offering new products to round out the line. From limited edition “SoPro Sneaks” to the introduction of a pivotal ladies line, the fall 2015 collection provides the Southern Proper customer a glimpse at the company’s future and an appreciation of its roots.
