SPARTA’s Sports Training Facility Rises Above the Rest with Jr Leadership Program
Fishers, IN (PRWEB) November 13, 2014 -- The SPARTA Junior Leadership program (Level 1) was launched this past summer and has already helped to build over forty leaders in the Fishers’ youth community. Their Inspire2Impact training program emphasizes personal development and organizational leadership through an interactive and positive environment. The program is designed to be life-changing by focusing on questions like: Who am I?, What do I stand for?, What is my purpose?, What are my goals? and Are you a bystander? The program grew from observing how SPARTA’s coaches naturally encouraged leadership skills and used positive mentoring in group and private coaching classes at the facility. “The youth were responding to our coaches. They want and need to be challenged to a higher calling and we found that when they are challenged, they become inspired to step up,” said partner and Junior Leadership coach, Luke Dunnuck.
Senator Jim Merritt, Majority Caucus Chairman commented on the program by saying, “Sparta’s Jr. Mentor program is putting young people on a path to leadership. These kids are finding their purpose and being equipped to not only lead but to build new leaders. I couldn’t be more excited about the young leaders coming out of this program that will have a positive impact on their families, peer groups, sports teams, and the schools they attend.”
SPARTA, an elite 21,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility for both adults and youth, serves Fishers and surrounding areas with a variety of programs and classes, from the Junior Leadership program to sports performance, football training and classes in boxing, yoga, wrestling, Muay Thai, among others. I am eternally grateful for the wisdom I have gained over the past 10 weeks that will help guide me to success in the future.”
In addition, Sparta works closely with Fishers Fight Club, (Fighting for the Youth of Central Indiana), a 501c3 non-profit which helps fund kids in the central Indiana area, by offering meaningful activities.
