Spec-Rite Designs Announces Results of 15 Year Product Durability Study
St. Louis, Mo. (PRWEB) July 09, 2013 -- Spec-Rite Designs, a global designer, fabricator and distributor of phenolic furnishings, announces the results of an internal study analyzing the durability and average replacement costs of installed phenolic products. For the study, Spec-Rite Designs analyzed the installations of thousands of projects over the course of 15 years. The results showed the phenolic components installed had a failure rate of less than .0004 percent.
The Spec-Rite Designs’ 15 year durability study reviewed installations across their full product line including lockers, cabinets, furniture, work surfaces, partitions, and wall lining. The study evaluated the performance of their phenolic products throughout the standard 15 year warranty period following a project’s installation.
“The 15 year study is a testament to not only the craftsmanship that Spec-Rite Designs provides but the durability that our solid phenolic products offer,” said Steve Kistner, General Manager of Spec-Rite Designs. “The study supports our guarantee that our solid phenolic panels will never warp or delaminate because the phenolic panels are water, impact, scratch, and even graffiti resistant.”
The 15 year study examined project installations shipped across North America and 16 countries internationally. Since the study began in 1998, Spec-Rite Designs has fabricated more than 1 million individual solid phenolic components. Also included in the study are thousands of square feet of phenolic work surfaces and interior wall panels.
Spec-Rite Designs’ solid phenolic panels are non-porous and non-microbial, prohibiting the growth of bacteria, microbes, and mold. The panels are also GREENGUARD certified and can contribute to LEED certification.
