North Vancouver, B.C., Canada (PRWEB) January 31, 2014 -- Specialty Technical Publishers, premier North American publisher of audit, compliance and risk solutions, today announced the roll-out of Country Compliance Checklists for self-assessment and auditing (Health and Safety for office and retail operations).

These checklists are available in the Convergence platform that currently delivers the Country Legal Registers but it is also available in the new web based audit and action workflow system developed by Optial and known as EHS SmartStart. EHS SmartStart not only delivers the checklists in a simple clear format but also captures answers, attaches corrective actions, flags trends, reports, tracks, and a number of other features.

As an introductory offer, when a Country Checklist is purchased a Country Register is included as well. The first 17 countries to be rolled-out include:

This roll-out expands the geographic coverage provided by existing International Health and Safety Legal Registers and adds a new tool (country compliance checklists) to the Suite Country Compliance tools. The International Health and Safety Legal Registers are aimed at offices and retail operations. There are over 45 country-specific Legal Registers in both English and the national language. They provide an inventory of laws and regulations that relate to health and safety within an office (administrative, sales, non-manufacturing) or retail setting, and are presented as a list of formal legal citations or references.

Each legal citation has a descriptive summary of the law or regulation. The description includes scope and objectives of the law, description of the main requirements, and potential penalties for non-compliance.
