Spectrum Weather Insurance Completes Tour Of State Fairs Association Conferences
Liberty, MO (PRWEB) January 21, 2015 -- Spectrum Weather and Specialty Insurance, Inc., a leading domestic broker of rain insurance, event cancellation insurance and other event-related insurance products, was a featured exhibitor at the annual conferences of several fairs associations during a tour of Midwestern states. The initial stop was November 20-22, 2014, in Bismarck, ND, for the joint conference of the fair associations of North and South Dakota. Robert Holmes, Spectrum’s founder and President, was an invited speaker for the event and discussed the topics of rain insurance and event cancellation coverage with delegates from that state’s fairs. The first stop was then followed by the Iowa Association of Fairs convention in Des Moines, IA, held December 12-14, 2014.
The tour continued in Indianapolis, IN, for the Indiana Association of Fairs annual convention, held January 2-4, 2015. The discussions continued as Mr. Holmes travelled to the Chula Vista Resort in Wisconsin Dells, WI, to attend the Wisconsin Association of Fairs annual convention, January 4-7, 2015. This marked the fourth consecutive year that Spectrum has attended this conference. From central Wisconsin, Mr. Holmes trekked to Grand Rapids, MI to take part in the Michigan Association of Fairs & Exhibitions annual convention, January 8-10, 2015. It was Spectrum’s second visit to the annual event for Michigan fairs. The tour concluded at the annual convention of the Illinois Association of Agricultural Fairs, held January 15-18, 2015 in Springfield, Illinois.
With the price of entertainment continually on the rise, a rain-soaked event or forced cancellation may cause an extremely stressful financial impact to a fair or festival’s overall budget. Most events have exposure to risks that impact an event’s ability to proceed as planned, including earthquakes, wildfires, floods, power outages, labor strikes, and terrorism. Outdoor events are also exposed to excessive rain and adverse weather, including severe thunderstorms, hurricanes, tornadoes, and winter storms. Spectrum’s specialty insurance product suite, including rain insurance, adverse weather insurance, and event cancellation insurance, is designed to address these risks and more, including the non-appearance of key personnel. “We come to these conferences to educate fair board members about the variety of insurance solutions available when working with an independent broker that specializes in these types of coverage options”, says Holmes. “There have been new markets and products introduced in recent years, which may not be available through more traditional insurance agents.” Holmes notes that although event preparation are readiness are essential, “Mother Nature always bats last.”
Spectrum was established with the goal of providing rain insurance, event cancellation insurance, snow insurance, and other specialty insurance solutions that are simple to understand and purchase, and with the highest degree of customer service in the industry. Spectrum serves events both large and small, including fairs, festivals, concerts, and other outdoor events impacted by weather. In addition to rain insurance, Spectrum provides liability insurance for events, as well as insurance for weather-based promotions. Spectrum also provides snow insurance to help protect against extremes in winter snowfall for snow removal contractors.
