SphereWMS to Attend 2015 WERC Conference in Orlando, FL
Littleton, Colo. (PRWEB) April 12, 2015 -- SphereWMS will be attending the 2015 Warehousing Education and Research Council (WERC) Conference of the Association for Logistics Professionals in order to showcase its own innovation and to learn more about the latest in the industry.
The 38th annual conference, which takes place in Orlando, FL from May 3-6, will focus on the importance of understanding and implementing the latest trends and technologies in the logistics industry. With over 80 educational programs, peer-to-peer discussions, and several industry exhibits, professionals from all over the country will gather to share ideas. According to the conference’s theme, professionals will leave knowing that “it’s not just about connecting with the logistics industry, it’s about understanding it.”
This year, the conference will feature Jeremy Gutsche as its general session speaker. Gutsche is an innovation expert and founder of trendhunter.com, a website dedicated to emerging ideas across the globe. The Independent described it as “the world’s biggest online cool hunting magazine.” The website has over 156,000 members and 60 million monthly views.

WERC (http://www.werc.org) began as a grassroots effort in 1977, when a number of individuals from the distribution field came together in search of educational, research and networking opportunities in the field of warehousing. The idea of a warehousing organization originated with Bob Angel and Ken Ackerman, who have been referred to as the "fathers of WERC." On June 22, 1977, a group of 17 distribution professionals got together in Columbus, Ohio, to discuss the feasibility of organizing a new professional society for warehousing management.
