SPL Realty Partners Represents Respect Your Universe in the United States
SANTA MONICA, Calif. (PRWEB) March 07, 2018 -- Scott Lifschultz, founder and president of SPL Realty Partners, a leading national tenant representation firm based here, is pleased to announce the entry into the United States of its client, Respect Your Universe or “RYU”, the creators of urban athletic apparel, with three signed leases: Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Los Angeles, CA, and Newport Beach, CA. The three stores are slated to open in Q2 and Q3 this year. SPL Realty Partners represented RYU in these three transactions and has been appointed its national real estate representative, responsible for the strategic expansion into and throughout the United States.
RYU has leased and will occupy a high profile corner space, located in the Lewis Steel Building at N 4th St and Wythe Avenue in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. This will be the first New York store for the brand. Lifschultz, along with Zach and Garry Steinberg of Lee & Associates in New York, represented RYU in this transaction. Tenants in the market include: Whole Foods, Equinox Fitness, Lululemon, Levis, Supreme, Soul Cycle and Blue Bottle Coffee.
1130 Abbot Kinney in Venice, CA will be home to LA’s first RYU, as the brand leased a corner building between Current Elliott and Rag & Bone. Named the “Coolest Block in America” by GQ Magazine, Abbot Kinney is home to national and international brands including: Adidas, Sage Cosmetics, Sweaty Betty, Aviator Nation, Smashbox, Buck Mason, Robert Graham, Warby Parker, Aesop and Blue Bottle Coffee.The landlord was represented by Sally Vogel of Blatteis & Schnur.
RYU will additionally open in a space located next to Nike and across from a newly expanded Lululemon and join high-end brands such as Peloton and Tesla, at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, CA. Anchored by Bloomingdales, Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, and Whole Foods, Fashion Island is Orange County’s outdoor premiere shopping and dining destination. Chardell Steves represented the Irvine Company in-house.
