Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) May 09, 2016 -- Scott Lifschultz, founder and president of SPL Realty Partners, a leading national tenant representation firm, thinks big with four (4) retail leases executed and under construction by its exclusive client DXL, the worldwide leader in Big & Tall men’s apparel. The 4 long term leases with options, totaling over 26,000 square feet of retail space include; Culver City, West Covina, Long Beach and South Gate.
Lifschultz leads the DXL expansion throughout Southern California. Other DXL stores SPL have secured include; Brea, Woodland Hills, Irvine, Lakewood, Palm Desert and Bakersfield, CA. There are several additional deals in negotiation throughout the region.
The existing Casual Male XL store located on Sepulveda Blvd in Culver City will be relocated and expanded into a DXL, across from the Westfield Culver City Mall. The end-cap space has freeway visibility off of interstate 405 and offers exclusive parking.
Another Casual Male XL will close and be expanded in West Covina, the company will relocate it’s Casual Male to Plaza West Covina, formerly Westfield West Covina, Starwood purchased center from Westfield in 2014.
DXL recently signed a lease and is under construction at Long Beach Town Center, yet another Casual Male XL to relocate and expand, here within the same center.
DXL will also open in the Azalea Shopping Center in South Gate. Developed by Primestor, the 370,000 square foot new shopping center is anchored by Walmart, Michaels, Ulta, Petco Marshall’s and CVS. Other tenants include In N Out Burger, TGI Fridays, Subway, Forever 21, Wells Fargo, Chipotle and others.
Lifschultz stated, “It’s not an easy task to essentially covert a chain to a new brand by doubling the footprint, changing the name and elevating the product line, however the DXL team has done an incredible job in executing its plan, and it’s a privilege to work with them in their overall southern California real estate strategy.”
