Spookley The Square Pumpkin Corn Maze Is A New Attraction At The Community Orchard In Fort Dodge, Iowa.
Fort Dodge, Iowa (PRWEB) September 30, 2015 -- Each fall, tourist from all over the United States travel to the Community Orchard located just outside of Fort Dodge, Iowa. Owners Bev and Greg Baedke never disappoint as they always have something new and exciting for their visitors to enjoy and create forever family memories.
This year the Spookley the Square Pumpkin Corn Maze is one of the new attractions. The corn maze is designed after the popular story that tells the special message of Spookley. In a world where the only good pumpkins are round pumpkins, Spookley the Square Pumpkin is a mistake, an outcast, a weed! He is shunned by the other pumpkins because of his odd shape but Spookley soon learns he is very special. The Community Orchard is the exclusive regional site to host the nationally recognized program.
October is National Bully Prevention Month and the story of Spookley presents the perfect opportunity for families to talk about bully prevention while they enjoy exploring the corn maze. Spookley the Square Pumpkin Corn Maze is open from 10 am to 6 pm all week long.
“Our corn maze that features Spookley the Square Pumpkin is so much fun for families. While they enjoy finding their way through the maze, families can talk about bullying and how to prevent it,” states Bev Baedke, Owner of The Community Orchard.
Other attractions that visitors will enjoy include the Back 40 playground where kids of all ages can jump on the giant pillow, feed the farm animals, race around the pedal power tractor track and even play in the big corn pit. After all the fun a ride to the pumpkin patch to pick out that favorite pumpkin for carving is a perfect photo opportunity.
The weekend of October 3rd and 4th is the second weekend of Apple Fest which continues through October 11th. During this weekend, families will enjoy Special K’z the Clown and the Amazing Bubbles, a fun game of “A Minute to Win It”, face painting, the Olde Scarecrow display and family photos by Power’s Photography.
Family favorites and a wide variety of apples can be found in the Orchard Market. The newly remodeled Apple Orchard Café will be serving Scarecrow Soup and other pleasures. Fresh baked apple pies, apple turnovers and everything apple are ready to take home to continue the memories that will be created during your visit.
The memories can continue all year long with the online ordering service that is available. Have Community Orchard favorites shipped directly to the home or create smiles by sending them to family members and friends. Gift boxes are always the perfect way to say thank you to business clients and associates.
