Sports Management Firm Play It Coy Announces Three of Its Players Have Signed Contracts With NFL Teams
Washington, D.C. (PRWEB) May 15, 2014 -- Play It Coy (“PIC”) (http://www.playitcoy.com), a sports management firm founded on the principle of assisting players in all aspects of their professional careers, today announced that the NFL has selected the following PIC rookie players. The 2014 PIC draft class is as follows:
- Zach Kerr (Defensive Tackle from the University of Delaware) agreed to a free agent contract with the Indianapolis Colts;
- Jerome Couplin (Safety from William & Mary College) agreed to a free agent contract with the Detroit Lions;
- Shaq Rowell (Defensive Tackle from the University of West Virginia) agreed to a free agent contract with the Carolina Panthers.
Notes on Zach Kerr
Team Captain
Kerr had a stellar career at the University of Delaware. In the 2013 season Kerr had 57 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks and two forced fumbles, and one interception returned for a touchdown.
He received first team All-Colonial Athletic Association, second team The Sports Network All-American, and third team Beyond Sports Network All-American honors.
Kerr also took part in the prestigious East-West Shrine Game and worked out for NFL scouts at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, IN in February.
Notes on Jerome Couplin
Team Captain
In 2013 Couplin racked up 113 tackles (70 solo, 2.5 for loss), six pass break-ups, two forced fumbles, and one fumble recovery, which he returned 51 yards for a touchdown. His 5.8 solo tackles per game ranked 11th nationally and first in the Colonial Athletic Association League.
He received first team All- American honors from The Associated Press, The Sports Network and the Walter Camp Football Foundation.
He was named as a finalist for the esteemed Buck Buchanan Award (given to the top defensive player in the nation).
Notes on Shaq Rowell
Team Captain
In 2013 Rowell had 47 tackles (22 solo) and 4 tackles for loss.
