Spotlight Shining on Greg Adler and Team 4 Wheel Parts at Lucas Season Opener
Compton, California (PRWEB) March 18, 2016 -- Greg Adler and Team 4 Wheel Parts return to the short course off-road racing stage as the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series season kicks off this weekend March 19 – 20 at Wild Horse Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona. While typically the time away from the track would represent an offseason of sorts for drivers, the 4 Wheel Parts President and CEO found himself behind the wheel of his Ultra4 Unlimited “Jeep” in the past few months, competing in the high profile King of the Hammers and Mint 400 desert races. Carrying the flag for 4 Wheel Parts, the corporate executive also found himself under the spotlight outside of the racecar, as he and the off-road performance parts and accessory company he helms were featured on the popular CBS reality television show, Undercover Boss.
Now, as he and the team prepare to launch their 2016 short course off-road racing campaign this weekend, Adler is focused on the task at hand. “There really has been no off-season for this team,” he said. “We’ve been keeping it pretty much pinned since the last race of the season at Lake Elsinore. It’s been a lot of fun racing the Ultra4 and then going back to the Mint for the first time in years. But now it’s time to get back to business behind the wheel of the Pro4.”
Having retired his race truck at the conclusion of the 2015 season, Crew Chief, Mike Seat and the veteran team have been hard at work putting the finishing touches on a newly acquired 900-horsepower Pro4 that Adler will be campaigning the season. A number of test sessions over the past few weeks, including a visit to the Wild Horse Pass course, has Adler and his crew feeling confident as they embark on their pursuit of the podium this weekend.
“We’ve had the chance to get the truck dialed in and put down some fast laps,” said Adler. “Mike and the boys have been busting their tails to get us ready and now we think we have put together a solid combination. We think we may have something for them this weekend at Chandler.”
After the opening weekend concludes, the 2016 Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series heads home to Southern California’s Lake Elsinore Motorsports Park for an April doubleheader. Over the next eight months the series will also bring Team 4 Wheel Parts to Tooele, Utah, Ensenada, Mexico and Reno, Nevada along with San Bernardino and Lake Elsinore before returning to Chandler, Arizona for the season finale.
