Spring into New Adventures & Exhibits at WonderWorks Myrtle Beach
MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. (PRWEB) March 27, 2018 -- This Spring season launches ‘the year of new’ for WonderWorks at Broadway at the Beach. The famous upside-down house with an indoor amusement park for the mind, has added an impressive line-up of exciting exhibits that will thrill new and returning, locals and tourists alike. WonderWorks has a foundation of education and proves to all guests that STEAM learning and science-based activities are not only useful in everyday life, but also extremely fun.
The team at WonderWorks is proud to present the following new exhibits and events:
- Dr. Seuss
Fresh after his 114th birthday on March 2nd, Dr. Seuss is being celebrated inside WonderWorks. Some of his most famous artwork and “unorthodox taxidermy” will be showcased in a special exhibition. Guests can explore the strange world of some of the authors’ most beloved creatures and inspirations.
- Astronaut Gyroscope
This highly popular, four-person gyroscope will spin and rotate in random directions to simulate the effects that outer space has on humans. Riders will experience the actual feeling of zero gravity weightlessness that astronauts feel when they travel to outer space.
- Speed of Light
Another addition to the physical challenge zone is The Speed of Light. This exhibit, popular with all ages, has two contestants race the clock to capture as many flashing lights as they can in a certain amount of time. Combining lessons on the importance of physical science and the speed of light, this is an experiment anyone can get behind.
- Professor Wonder’s Adventure
An interactive way to learn how WonderWorks came to be! This spatial augmented reality adventure will have guests on a 3D experience that transforms the area they stand in, into an “unreal” experience where they will see the history of WonderWorks.
- Illusion Art Gallery
Recently, the official acronym of science education, STEM, added an A making it STEAM, and WonderWorks is changing and growing with it. The A stands for arts, and along with plans for even more artistic additions, WonderWorks Illusion Art gallery has just been given an upgrade. A plethora of optical illusion pieces have been added to the gallery which is a space between exhibits for guests to stop and challenge their mind and vision.
- Sensory Nights
To provide inclusion for everyone to have an opportunity to have fun while learning with family and friends, WonderWorks recently added Sensory Nights. On these select dates, exhibits with loud music, sounds, and lights are altered to provide limited stimulation for adults and children with special needs. Admission is provided at a discounted rate.
“As a science based, educational attraction, we make sure we grow along with both industries,” said General Manager, Robert Stinnett. “We are always evolving to stay current, and give guests something new to look forward whether it is their first time or their 100th time visiting. These new exhibits are just the start of how we’re keeping things fresh in Myrtle Beach!”
WonderWorks focuses on giving families unique experiences to enjoy together, and educating young minds with their over 100 hands-on, interactive exhibits. The team behind Myrtle Beach’s most eye-catching structure continuously searches for ways to remain on the cutting edge of science discoveries to provide innovative experiences for anyone who enters. All new exhibits are now live and able to be enjoyed with any regular admission ticket.
