Springboard Biodiesel Registers 75th School Partner
Chico, CA. (PRWEB) January 31, 2015 -- Award-winning biodiesel equipment manufacturer Springboard Biodiesel, announced Tuesday that the Putnam County School system of Georgia will be the 75th school to own and operate a BioPro™ biodiesel processor.
Springboard Biodiesel has been manufacturing and selling their automated biodiesel-making appliances since 2008 and the company currently has customers operating units in 24 countries and in all 50 states. Notable customers includes Toyota, Honda, The Florida National Guard, The Petroleum Corporation of Jamaica, Jimmy Dean Sausages, a long list of restaurants and schools and the Federal Prison system.
A significant benefit of the equipment is the savings on fuel costs that they bring to any institution or business that can collect its cooking oil for free. Total production costs can be as low as 70 to 95 cents per gallon.
Biodiesel is a drop in replacement fuel for diesel that will run in any diesel engine (no engine conversion required) and emits 80 to 90% less CO2 and approximately 50% less particulate matter than diesel when it burns (CARB).
“Putnam is doing what any school with dining facilities on campus can do,” reports Springboard Biodiesel CEO Mark Roberts. “Converting used cooking oil into locally made fuel for less than a dollar per gallon saves money on fuel costs, significantly reduces a school’s carbon footprint and makes students smarter."
Springboard offers financing through several third party lenders thereby enabling any accredited US educational institution to get started quickly with a program that compliments many existing recycling programs.
