Springboard Nonprofit Consumer Credit Management Celebrates 40 Year Anniversary
Riverside, CA (PRWEB) June 26, 2014 -- Springboard Nonprofit Consumer Credit Management, Inc.® (“Springboard®”) is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Springboard is an IRS 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 1974 as Consumer Credit Counseling Service of the Inland Empire (CCCS-IE) for the purpose of providing personal financial education and counseling to individuals and families. The agency offers personal financial education and assistance with credit and housing counseling, and debt and money management through educational programs and confidential counseling. As the agency expanded beyond the geographic borders of the Inland Empire region of Southern California, a name change to Springboard occurred in 2001 to reflect the agency's national presence. In celebration of Springboard’s 40th anniversary, Riverside Mayor William “Rusty” Bailey has signed a proclamation declaring June 26, 2014 as Springboard Day.
Springboard is one of the oldest and largest nonprofit housing and consumer credit counseling agencies in the nation. Springboard is recognized as one of the largest nonprofit HUD-approved housing counseling agencies on the West Coast. Financial education and counseling are offered in-person in both English and Spanish at Springboard's physical locations in California, Arizona, Nevada, New Mexico, Texas, Massachusetts, South Carolina, Florida and Maryland, and by telephone nationwide. In 2012, the organization proudly announced the creation of its newly formed subsidiary, Springboard Housing LLC., and acquired its first project in December of 2012.
