Sqor changes that model by providing athletes with a sports-centric platform that focuses on the athlete-fan relationship, combining Sqor-generated and third party editorial and social media content in one place. Once an athlete has signed-up their profile is quickly populated with editorial content about them such as news articles, hi-resolution Getty images, and social media posts from their existing Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts. All the athlete needs to do is sign-up for Sqor and login to begin crafting messages to their fans.

Sqor provides the individual athlete access to their own custom analytics, which will be accompanied by a unique “AthleteSqor” that quantifies that athlete’s digital reach and engagement across the web. “We provide detailed insights into an athlete’s fanbase that can be used to accurately quantify their true digital impact, an invaluable advantage for athletes when partnering with brands,” said John McGrane, Director of Social & Product Marketing at Sqor. “Individual Athletes build massive social followings, sometimes in the millions, on platforms that then that then profit by selling into that athlete’s fanbase. Sqor’s mission is to give every athlete total control of their digital brand, while enabling them to economically benefit from their reach.” Sqor’s platform now combines traditional editorial sports content along with athlete-generated and user-submitted content. Sports fans can follow the profiles of their favorite athletes or teams to get news highlights, images, videos and social updates directly from that athlete to their newsfeed. Users can also follow their friends and post comments or pictures to their own profiles to build a following of sports fans. While Sqor focuses on the athlete, users can also enjoy game highlights and recaps about their favorite teams from the NFL, NBA, MLB and UFC with more league coverage coming in the following weeks.
