SSD Supports 6th Annual BIG Love Fun Run for Cancer
Pearland, Texas (PRWEB) September 20, 2013 -- On September 28, SSD FAIR Marketing will once again be donating their time and efforts by participating in the 6th Annual BIG Love Fun Run. Starting at 9 a.m., registered participants will either run or walk in the 5K race in Pearland, Texas. B.I.G. Love Cancer Care, a non-profit and volunteer based organization who provides supportive care to Arkansas and Texas Children’s Hospital cancer patients and their families, proudly presents this race each year.
“SSD Fair Marketing is more than just a web marketing company. It is important for us to participate together as a company and bring awareness to childhood cancer,” said Roger Janik, SSD CEO and president. This will be the second year that SSD will be running the race together.
The event will take place in Pearland, Texas and also include a kid's mile and dash. At 11 a.m. the race will end and conclude with an award ceremony and raffle to give away prizes offered for donation.
Did you know that on average, 36 children and adolescents in the United States are diagnosed with cancer everyday? All who sign up for the B.I.G. Love Cancer Run will raise money to support disease-stricken children and their families. This allows B.I.G. Love Cancer Care to continue providing these children and families with weekly groceries, toys, holiday gift baskets, gift cards, diagnosis bags, catered meals to cancer units, parking passes, free housing, grief support, funeral expenses, and more. B.I.G. Love Cancer Care also uses these funds to support their services and assistance provided to Texas Children’s Hospital, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, and MD Anderson Cancer Hospital.
