St. Bernard Parish Government Announces October 4th Absolute Auction of 151 Road Home Properties
Chalmette, LA (PRWEB) August 29, 2014 -- SVN/Gilmore Auction has been awarded a contract by the St. Bernard Parish Government to auction the remaining inventory of Louisiana Land Trust Road Home properties owned by the parish. The first auction of 151 properties will be held at the St. Bernard Civic Center-Grand Ballroom on Saturday, October 4, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. Properties to be sold to the highest bidder include a previously renovated, 1085 square foot single family home at 2001 Aycock St. in Arabi and 150 residential development home-sites located throughout the Parish including: Arabi, Chalmette, Meraux, and Violet, Louisiana.
This event will be the 2nd in a series of auctions as St. Bernard Parish liquidates its inventory of LLT/Road Home properties. Over 1,400 properties were transferred to the St. Bernard Parish Government recently from the Louisiana Land Trust.
Registered Bidders are required to bring $1,000 per development lot that they plan to buy and $3,000 for the home. This deposit must be a cashier’s check, money order or cash. Successful bidders will be limited to 4 properties. All properties are sold in “as is, where is” condition and will close within 30 days.
