St. James Church Moves To Expansive New Costa Mesa Location
Newport Beach, CA (PRWEB) August 17, 2015 -- St. James Anglican Church, (stjamesnb.org) has been serving the local Orange County Christian community for more than 70 years with weekend church services, local serving events, prayer gatherings and outreach. With their new building in Costa Mesa, St. James is planning on expanding ministry events and welcoming attendees of all ages who are looking for a deeper Christian experience.
St. James is starting a new chapter with a new building, new location and new opportunities to reach local residents in and around Costa Mesa. While the facility is new for the church, the faithful strength of the church members is the backbone that keeps St. James moving forward. Weekly prayer meetings are held for personal healing, congregational and community needs, our nation and persecuted Christians around the world.
The building at 2995 Airway Avenue is being completely renovated from the front glass entrance to the rear wall to accommodate the needs of St. James. The entire space is all on one level with ample handicapped access to the building, classrooms and worship services. Construction crews are in the process of building multiple classrooms, a kitchen/pantry, a nursery, a multi-purpose room, office spaces and creating a beautiful sanctuary. The building plan includes new everything from construction of walls, a sound system, lighting, carpet and floors to office space. A dedicated nursery and children’s room off of the sanctuary area provides easy access for parents to drop off and pick up their children. Architects helped design functional and comfortable areas in the building to provide fellowship for the growing congregation.
“St. James Church is in a season of growth and new life that opens the doors for people of all generations to experience,” commented Senior Pastor Rev. Richard Crocker. “We are building upon our core strengths of strong ministries which continue to serve our parishioners, the local community and global needs as well.”
St. James has a loyal group of members that are actively involved in supporting not only the church but dedicated to fellowship and outreach. Church members are supportive of the church itself and each other- in many aspects like an extended family. They look forward to the new building being an expanded “base of operation” for their ministries to engage the community.
“My family and I have been actively involved in many serving opportunities through St. James. It would be a long list to add up, from serving the military at Camp Pendleton to transporting items needed for weekly Sunday services,” said Frank Daniels, a church member for more than 35 years. “We feel blessed by the spiritual growth and fellowship at St. James- something so precious and priceless to us.”
Popular programs at St. James include an active youth group and small groups in addition to Men and Women's ministries. Local outreach is at the center of this congregation’s life with ministries for cancer sufferers, veterans and active duty military, marriage and family support and outreach to victims of human trafficking. Plans are in place to expand outreach to parenting classes, help for marriages in crisis and support for single adults.
