St. Louis Gymnastics Club Launches New Ninja Zone Program for Boys (and Girls)
St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) June 11, 2015 -- Beginning the week of June 8, the St. Louis Gymnastics Club will launch its Ninja Zone program, an all-new discipline incorporating obstacle course training, street dance, martial arts and gymnastics classes for boys ages 3 to 11.
Across the globe, Ninja Zone is becoming a popular way to encourage boys to be physically fit while building strong character. Kris Rogers, Owner, says St. Louis Gymnastics Club is the only local school in the area with a license to offer the Ninja Zone program. To earn its license, the club had to undergo a rigorous application process.
“Once we heard about the program, we immediately saw the value in it and jumped on the opportunity to apply," Rogers says. "Ninja Zone is great because it goes beyond teaching athletic skill; it teaches boys how to channel their energy and impulses into achieving a focused goal, all while being part of a group. These are lessons that will last a lifetime."
Each Ninja Zone class is 55 minutes long, and is taught by coaches who are fully trained according to USA Gymnastics guidelines. The uniform is a Ninja T-shirt and Ninja headband; there is also a color rank system similar to the rankings found in martial arts. In July, the St. Louis Gymnastics Club will attend its first Ninja Games in Indianapolis.
Rogers says she encourages parents to enroll their young boys in Ninja Zone because of the many benefits the program offers.
“I think the greatest benefit of this program is that it allows young boys to participate in a unique, entertaining sport and have fun while being fit," Rogers says. "They no longer have to sit on the bleachers and wait for their sisters to finish up with gymnastics class -- now they can be in their own athletics class.”
The kickoff event for St. Louis Gymnastics Club's Ninja Zone program will take place this Sunday, June 7. While the program is primarily geared toward boys, girls may enroll as well, but girls and boys will be in separate classes.
