In the waiting area, you’ll find free customer Wi-Fi, flat screen TV, all the free coffee you care to drink, charging stations for mobile devices and a comfortable workspace for those who need to get some business done while waiting. The new St Lucie Battery & Tire location is also equipped with sparkling clean restrooms and comfortable furniture in the waiting area.
In the shop, St Lucie Battery & Tire has invested in the latest state-of-the-art equipment, including advanced diagnostic gear for troubleshooting and tire mounting equipment that is capable of installing low-profile tires, 25-series tires and rims up to 30” in size. There’s a Road Force balancer for accurate tire balancing and the latest, most high-tech alignment rack…and customers can even watch their alignment work as it’s being performed, with a closed-circuit TV hookup in the lobby area.
St Lucie Battery & Tire is making plans to open their fifteenth store at 2155 SW Gatlin Blvd in Port St Lucie, with an anticipated target date of August 1. More news will be announced as the grand opening date gets closer.
St Lucie Battery & Tire has been offering name brand tires such as Michelin®, BFGoodrich®, and Cooper to the Okeechobee, Palm City, Sebastian, and Stuart areas for over 40 years. St Lucie Battery & Tire has been serving drivers since the early 1970s, when Joey Miller was making a living with a small convenience store (as well as selling chickens and eggs). In time, Miller opened St Lucie Battery & Tire’s first store on western Orange Avenue in Ft Pierce FL. Miller started out selling Farm Bureau tires and reconditioned batteries…and some four decades later, St Lucie Battery & Tire is the second largest dealer for Cooper Tires in the southeastern United States, with twelve stores and over 100 employees in four counties. Miller is a good neighbor for those in Ft Pierce and is fully engaged in the community, including sponsorship of the local 4-H and St Lucie County Fair. He has also been key to the revitalization of downtown Ft Pierce and has made sizable personal contributions to the Sunrise Theater restoration project. His sons Mickey and Doug are ready to step up to the task when Joey Miller retires and carry on the longstanding company motto of “Home of Honest, Reliable Service.”
