St. Petersburg-based HTR Foundation Invites Preservation Grant Applications
St. Petersburg, FL (PRWEB) June 26, 2015 -- The announcement comes in conjunction with the launch of the organization’s new website at htrfoundation.com, which includes application guidelines and resources for prospective grantees.
HTR, which was founded by trucking magnate Copie Hill, has been in operation for nearly two decades. Its previous grants include $1 million given to the Olustee Battlefield Citizens Support Organization for the construction of a 2,000 square foot museum at Olustee Battlefield. The Foundation was created to facilitate the preservation and protection of the historical landmarks, battlefields, culture and environmental heritage of the American Civil War. It accomplishes this mission primarily by funding projects. Projects may include, but are not limited to, the acquisition of title or easements on land, as well as educational and related activities that further the preservation, culture, and understanding of the Civil War.
HTR’s Board of Directors is headed by Jeffrey McClanathan, a partner with the St. Petersburg-based accounting firm McClanathan, Burg & Associates (http://www.mbacpallc.com/). Todd Burg, one of McClanathan’s partners at MBA, praised McClanathan’s dedication to the HTR Mission.
“Jeff and I are both big believers in giving back to the community, and to the nation,” said Burg. “I’m very proud of what he and HTR are doing.”
Applications for HTR Foundation grants are accepted on a rolling basis. Applicants are invited to submit a Letter of Inquiry to begin the review process. Details can be found at the new HTR Foundation website’s Grant Applications page (http://htrfoundation.com/apply-for-grant/).
