St. Thomas Episcopal School Hosts Open House
Houston, TX (PRWEB) October 30, 2014 -- This fall, St. Thomas Episcopal School will host an open house for sixth through twelfth grades from 7-9 p.m. on Nov. 4.
Registration through http://www.stes.org is recommended, but not required. The open house will take place on campus at 4900 Jackwood in Meyerland (conveniently located near Bellaire and the Texas Medical Center).
"Open House is an ideal time for families to experience all the qualities that make STE unique,” said Headmaster Michael Cusack. “We provide a classical education that allows students to connect information across academic disciplines, ultimately preparing them to be informed, lifelong learners. We nurture our students within a caring Christian community where faculty, coaches and staff serve as mentors and exemplify values such as honesty and respect."
With 656 students currently attending STE, enrollment is at its highest point in decades. Enrollment has grown 5 percent since the fall of 2013. Director of Admissions Danny Kahalley attributes the growth to numerous factors.
"We're enjoying tremendous state, national and international recognition in academics, athletics, and the arts,” he said. “We won the prestigious Henderson Cup for the second time in three years, beating out 46 other schools in our TAPPS classification. We also earned our first state boys' basketball championship last year, which created tremendous excitement throughout our school community. Arts are also flourishing with our string orchestra winning state in their division, and our pipe band's continued recognition as one of the best juvenile bands in the world."
