Stadium Mustard Coming to Victory Field

Victory Field debuts Stadium Mustard April 2 for the Pittsburgh Pirates vs. Cincinnati Reds exhibition game. It’s currently sold in all Indianapolis-area Kroger stores.

Using premium spices and no added sugar or preservatives, Stadium Mustard story begins with an 1890 smooth brown mustard recipe that calls for the highest-grade mustard seeds. Founder David Dwoskin resurrected this spice-forward mustard in 1969, selling Stadium Mustard in Cleveland Municipal Stadium.
Just as it was then, today’s Stadium Mustard is Kosher, stone ground and perfectly complements a juicy hot dog, warm pretzel or sandwich.
“Stadium Mustard is a Cleveland establishment. People were attending Cleveland games and tasting our mustard. Some even said that’s why they stayed for often really bad games. Sport Magazine wrote in 1985 that ‘at least {the Cleveland teams} have the league’s best mustard,’” Dwoskin says. “Meanwhile, my dad was hustling to expand our family business. It’s amazing that the mustard I ate by the spoonful as a kid is now served just about everywhere.”
Over the years, Stadium Mustard fans have written the Dwoskins, thanking them for keeping the flavor the same, and submitting the occasional unsolicited recipe. And of course, the fans want the mustard wherever they go, even space.
