Stan Tebow Agency and Nonprofit Mission of Mercy Initiate New Charity Campaign in Anchorage to Provide Dental Care to Homeless and Low Income Families
Anchorage, AK (PRWEB) January 21, 2016 -- Stan Tebow Agency has teamed up with Mission of Mercy as part of their new community enrichment program serving the Anchorage area, and announces a new charity campaign to raise funds supporting the nonprofit’s third annual Mission of Mercy Event, which provides free dental care to those who could not otherwise afford it. Mission of Mercy (MOM) originated 14 years ago in Virginia to provide free dental care to low-income and homeless residents. The concept has spread like wildfire across the country, and Alaska will be hosting its third annual event in April with roughly 1300 community volunteers, including 200 dentists. The MOM event will provide free access dental care to a projected 2000 people, with high priority given to patients suffering from infections or pain. MOM also works to educate the public on the importance of good daily oral hygiene practices, healthy diet and routine dental care, with a core belief that prevention is key.
