Standifer Insurance Group and Camp Conquest Plan Joint Charity Initiative to Assist Hospitalized Children Suffering from Burn Injuries
Birmingham, AL (PRWEB) July 27, 2015 -- Standifer Insurance Group, a locally owned insurance company with offices serving areas around Birmingham, is announcing a charity drive that will support Camp Conquest, a specialized camp for young people who have been hospitalized in the burn center of the Children’s Hospital of Alabama.
Camp Conquest offers a five day and four night curriculum designed to give burn survivors between the ages of 6-17 an opportunity to interact with one another, share stories, and build friendships in a safe and non-competitive environment.
Programs at Camp Conquest instill self-confidence, improve social skills, and give children an opportunity to enjoy swimming, boating, inner-tubing, arts and crafts, and outdoor sports. Trust, Caring, Honesty, Respect, Reliability, Responsibility, Gratitude, and Teamwork are the key values that are taught throughout camp activities.
“We’re extremely excited to be working with Camp Conquest,” says Jessup Standifer, owner and operator of Standifer Insurance Group. “The work being done by the fine people at Camp Conquest is improving the lives of children in Alabama for the better, and our community needs to support them however we can.”
Standifer and his team are actively raising awareness and seeking donations for Camp Conquest by reaching out to friends, family, neighbors, and business associates throughout the Birmingham area. The Standifer team is also creating an online presence via social media in an effort to gather support from communities across Alabama and the country.
