Stanley Consultants Selected by Air Force Civil Engineer Center for Architectural and Engineering Services Contract
Muscatine, Iowa (PRWEB) December 31, 2015 -- Stanley Consultants, a global consulting engineering firm, has been selected by the Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC) to provide architectural and engineering services to support military construction, foreign military sales, military family housing and sustainment, restoration and modernization programs worldwide.
Stanley Consultants, in a joint venture with Michael Baker International and Cardno, was awarded an indefinite delivery / indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a program ceiling of $950 million. The engineering and design work will take place at multiple government sites in the U.S. and abroad. Under the contract, work may be awarded through task orders through 2022.
“Stanley Consultants has been proud to support the mission of the U.S. Air Force for nearly 75 years and we’re honored to be selected for this important contract,” said Michelle French, Stanley Consultants’ Federal Practice Leader. “We look forward to being an extended part of the AFCEC team and continuing to deliver quality, cost effective solutions for the warfighter.”
Stanley Consultants’ history of supporting the U.S. Air Force through engineering and design reaches back to 1942 with the design of an Army Air Corps Technical School at Sioux Falls, South Dakota. That project consisted of three runways, taxiways, aprons, housing, and instruction facilities to support the war effort.
Recent projects completed have ranged from preliminary studies to installation master plans for new mission beddowns and full MILCON design. Recent examples include design of a new space operations facility at Schriever Air Force Base in Colorado; an installation development plan for Al Dhafra Air Base in the United Arab Emirates; and an F-16 flight simulator facility for Aviano Air Base in Italy.
