Starpoint Resort Group Shares its Favorite Concerts this Summer in Las Vegas
Las Vegas (PRWEB) July 16, 2015 -- Many visitors here come for the rush and excitement of gambling in some of the biggest casinos in the world. However, Las Vegas isn’t known as the “Entertainment Capital of the World” for nothing. Some of the hottest acts from around the globe stop in Sin City to ply their trade, making it difficult for vacationers to pick which shows to attend this summer. That’s why Starpoint Resort Group has put together this list of its top picks for Vegas’ best summer concerts.
Aerosmith: The bad boys from Boston bring their blues-based hard rock to the MGM Grand Garden Arena on Aug. 1. With a discography stretching back to 1973, Aerosmith has plenty of hit albums from which to create an epic set list. From early hits like “Dream On” and “Same Old Song and Dance” to their later ballads such as “I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing” and “Hole in My Soul,” concert goers can expect an epic musical journey that only a staple of rock like Aerosmith could bring. Also, Starpoint Resort Group says, Aerosmith have announced plans to play a few lesser-known tracks to keep things fresh for long-time fans.
Tony Orlando: Performing Aug. 7 through 9 at the South Point Casino Hotel & Spa, Tony Orlando will bring the same warmth and energy to the stage that has been part of his charm since his start in the early 1960s. Still one of America's most endearing and enduring stars, Orlando has an impressive history in entertainment: five No. 1 musical hits, a popular television variety series, and beloved performances in movies and Broadway. To top it off, Orlando is also a recipient of three American Music Awards and a People's Choice Award, as well as a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. He has truly conquered every facet of show business. Starpoint Resort Group reminds concert goers to brush up on the lyrics to "Tie a Yellow Ribbon 'Round The Ole Oak Tree,” because Orlando is known to sing this fan favorite in each show.
George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic: Music lovers should get ready to tear the roof off the Brooklyn Bowl Las Vegas on Aug. 18 when George Clinton and his perennially psychedelic band Parliament-Funkadelic bring their spaced-out show here. Clinton and 15 other members of the large band have been inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, and for good reason. Starting in the 1960s with his doo-wop group the Parliaments, Clinton morphed his persona and musical style into something altogether new: psychedelic rock, R&B, soul, funk and blues mixed with science-fiction themes and sociological messages. Starpoint Resort Group notes that the sound is so unique it even has its own name: P-Funk.
