The newly selected companies - Brainshake, Buddy Healthcare, GoodLife Technology, HLD Health Life Devices, and LS CancerDiag - are the first group selected as part of StartUp Health Finland and will receive access to key US and global healthcare stakeholders and its global peer community.

All five Finnish companies, exclusively selected out of dozens of applications, were invited to co-locate at the Health Innovation Village at GE in Helsinki’s ‘Silicon’ Vallila district which also hosts regular programming and community events for digital health entrepreneurs.

Jussi Määttä is a Healthcare Transformer on a mission automate patients’ surgery preparation and recovery procedures. Jussi Määttä is the founder of Buddy Healthcare, a care coordination and patient engagement company based in Helsinki, Finland, which developed the platform to transform pre and post surgery care.
Henrik Jürgens is a Healthcare Transformer on a mission to digitalize the consumer healthcare experience and bringing professional healthcare services into people’s pockets. Henrik Jürgens is the CEO of GoodLife Technology, a patient engagement company based in Kotka, Finland, which developed the PT Momentum app to transform care for physical therapy clients.
Kalle Palomäki is a Healthcare Transformer on a mission to provide a better way for clinicians to reduce swelling in trauma and surgery patients or patients who suffer from lymphedema.
