State Farm Agent Kacky Kortenber Announces Soles4Souls Donation Drive
Memphis, TN (PRWEB) February 26, 2016 -- Since 2014, Kacky Kortenber’s State Farm office has been an official drop-off location for Soles4Souls. Currently, she is ramping-up her efforts with an Easter campaign for the organization that to date has collected and distributed more than 26 million pairs of shoes to people in need in 127 countries around the world and all 50 states in the U.S.
“I am honored to continue supporting this humanitarian organization in its mission to wear out poverty,” said Kacky. “Everyone deserves a good pair of shoes, as each day children around the globe are prevented from attending school and adults are unable to work as walking becomes unbearable because of a lack of shoes.”
The vision of Soles4Souls is to eradicate extreme poverty by 2050. To achieve this goal, Soles4Souls monetizes used shoes and clothing to create sustainable jobs, as well as fund direct relief efforts, which include distribution of new shoes and clothing throughout the world.
“Every pair of donated shoes counts,” said Kacky. “Soles4Souls shoe drives provide practical solutions to fighting poverty, and I encourage everyone to not only donate a new or gently worn pair of shoes this Easter but to get involved by organizing your own drive.”
