State Farm’s Tim Simmonds Extends Good Neighbor Policy across the Globe
Fairhope, AL (PRWEB) September 09, 2015 -- Tim Simmonds recently announced that his State Farm agency, located at 356 Morphy Ave., Fairhope, AL, is now an official Soles4Souls drop-off location. Soles4Souls is a global nonprofit organization dedicated to fighting poverty through the distribution of new and used shoes and clothing.
“I encourage the entire community to drop by and drop off any new or gently worn shoes,” said Tim. “Together, we can help put shoes on the feet of people in need across the world, including here at home, who do not otherwise have the means.”
Founded in 2006, Soles4Souls distributes shoes and clothing to people in need in the U.S. and overseas, and creates microenterprises in developing countries struggling with poverty. The collection and sale of new and used footwear and apparel also sustains Soles4Souls operations and helps provide the funding to further expand its donations domestically and abroad―also diverting usable goods from landfills and supporting environmental sustainability. To date, Soles4Souls has collected and distributed more than 22 million pairs of shoes to those in need in 127 countries around the world and all 50 states in the U.S.
