Statement by Communities In Schools President on Education Priorities in President Obama’s State of the Union
Arlington, VA (PRWEB) January 29, 2014 -- President Obama outlined our nation’s next great priority – the reduction of inequality. Among the solutions are an expansion of early childhood programs and a greater focus on education. “Both are critical components to reducing inequality,” said Daniel J. Cardinali, President of Communities In Schools.
“However, we must address the obstacles to learning created by poverty. Until then, even the best early childhood and education programs in the country are insufficient. At Communities In Schools, we are addressing poverty and removing obstacles through locally developed solutions that empower our nation’s youth to stay in school and achieve in life,” said Cardinali.
