Statement by John Hoblick, Florida Farm Bureau Federation, on Water Resources Development Act (WRDA)
Gainesville, Fla (PRWEB) September 29, 2016 -- Florida Farm Bureau fully supports 2016 WRDA
“The Water Resources Development Act of 2016 (WRDA) is essential to continue the important water quality improvement projects related to Lake Okeechobee and Everglades restoration. The State of Florida needs the federal government to step up and shoulder their responsibility in the 50/50 commitment to restore the remnant Everglades. Additionally, farmers, ranchers, and communities south of the lake deserve to feel safe and secure in their homes. Only a fully repaired Herbert Hoover Dike can accomplish this and this year’s WRDA is a step in the right direction.”
-John Hoblick, President
Florida Farm Bureau, the state’s largest general agricultural organization, represents more than 144,000 member-families. We serve to enhance farm enterprise and improve rural communities.
