Stealth Alloys Selects ControlByNet’s i-flashback CLOUD for Facility Surveillance

As with any property that maintains even a brief inventory of valuable metals, the company has to deal with intruders as well as monitor employees. In addition, the use of CBN’s CLOUD service allows a duplicate video stream to be recorded offsite for safety should something happen at the business. “The benefit of our software is that while developed as a fully hosted solution it can also tie into a managed server onsite as needed for higher resolution video. The customer doesn’t see a difference, he or she just logs in and it all looks like a single system regardless of where the recorded video data is actually stored,” explains Ryan Strange, CEO of ControlByNet.
Similar to other CBN customers in the recycling industry, the solution at Stealth ties remotely into CBN’s ip-LookOUT where it is monitored by security personnel for intruders. “It’s actually a pretty neat transition from onsite software to Cloud, or remote, video and out to a guard solution….that’s how software on the Internet should be used,” added Strange.
CBN’s i-flashback CLOUD solution is one of the only hosted video solutions on the market that is not a branded Axis AVHS solution. While CBN works with Axis on testing of its one-click feature and primarily uses Axis cameras for hosting, the CBN architecture is built to support cameras from other manufacturers including Panasonic, Bosch and Vivotek, as well as others.
