Stellar Line-Up Announced for North Carolina Association of Staffing Professionals Conference
Wilmington, NC (PRWEB) February 24, 2014 -- Registration is now open for The North Carolina Association of Staffing Professionals (NCASP) Annual Training Conference, a regional conference that has gained a national reputation for its top notch lineup of speakers and content.
This year’s conference will be held from May 15-17 in Wrightsville Beach, N.C. The registration fee, which covers all sessions, meals, and entertainment, is $349 for members and $599 for non-members. Those wishing to join the association can get half off the membership fee and $100 off the conference registration fee in February. The association is also offering a group discount this month only: When your firm brings five members, a sixth can attend for free, said Mary Mallett, an Executive Director for NCASP. The deadline for registering and ensuring your seat is April 15.
“The sooner you sign up, the better the discount we can offer you and your firm,” said Mallett, who added that the conference is open to firms across the United States, not just North Carolina.
The NCASP prides itself on providing superior, nationally recognized speakers. This year’s line up, which includes returning speaker Rob Mosley and staffing expert Amy Bingham, is no exception. NCASP recently published the full line up in the speaker brochure for the event. You can request a copy of the brochure, which includes the agenda and speaker bios, by emailing Mallett at mary(at)searchpro(dot)com
Mosley, a well-known industry trainer, will present training sessions on Performance Management, Standard Sales Skills, and Self-Assessment as well as a three-step coaching process for owners and managers.
“He speaks to all the levels of experience,” Mallett said. “He draws a large crowd.”
Bingham Consulting Professionals Managing Partner Amy Bingham will share insights more specific to the contract staffing industry in her Friday breakout sessions. With 20 years of staffing experience, she will reveal how the “World of Work is Changing” in regards to client and candidate attitudes toward contract staffing. She will also present a time management session titled “Controlling the Chaos.”
“A great majority of our members and attendees are on the staffing side versus recruiting, so we wanted to bring in a well-trained staffing expert who could give us some new tricks and tips to help us gather new clients and top talent,” Mallett said.
In keeping with the staffing theme, contract staffing back-office service provider Top Echelon Contracting, Inc., (TEC) will serve as one of this year’s Vendor Partners. Debbie Fledderjohann, President of TEC, will be available at the conference to speak with recruiters and staffing firms that are interested in adding contract staffing or expanding their current business into multiple states. TEC can become the W-2 employer of technical, professional, and healthcare contractors in 49 states. As such, TEC handles all the financial, administrative, and legal details of a contract placement, including contracts with contractors and client companies, background checks, employment paperwork, payroll processing and funding, tax withholding and filing, unemployment, Workers’ Compensation, offering and administering Affordable Care Act-compliant benefits administration, and more.
