Mr. Olson brings more than 30 years of legal and management experience resolving complex multiparty construction and design litigation and disputes. He has served in officer and senior level positions in construction, engineering, and law responsible for managing construction operations, review of contracts, and corporate legal affairs including personnel, corporate matters and litigation. As a contractor and engineer, Mr. Olson has been involved with a wide variety of projects including public works, high rise commercial, educational, institutional, industrial and residential. As an attorney, Mr. Olson has represented architects, engineers, and contractors in construction and design-related matters. In addition to mediations, his legal experience extends to jury and bench trials, and arbitration. He also has extensive expertise with financing-related issues that impact photovoltaic solar installations.

Mr. Olson received his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 1979 from the University of Southern California and his Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School evening program in 1995. He is a registered civil engineer and licensed contractor (A and B) in California. He is a member of the California and Nevada state bars. He is a LEED accredited professional and Qualified Storm Water Pollution Protection Plan (SWPPP) Developer (QSD) in California. He is a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers and served on the committee of ASHRAE to develop seismic restraint standards. He completed mediation training at Loyola Law School to qualify as a mediator in court sponsored mediations. In addition to decades of on-the-job practical experience, Mr. Olson has earned more than 85 hours in formal certified mediation and arbitration training with UC Hastings College of Law, Loyola Law School, and the Los Angeles County Bar.
