Stephens Enterprises, Inc. Is Closing After 28 Successful Years
Tacoma, WA (PRWEB) April 30, 2014 -- After 28 years in the commercial glass business Terry Kist, CEO of Stephens Enterprises Inc announced that the company is closing and that all of the equipment is up for auction.
Terry first started the business in 1986, after 11 years of employment with Stephen’s Glass & Aluminum working for Bob Stephens. She started her business at a time when it was rare for women to work in the construction industry. When asked what advice she would give to other women who strive to have a successful career, she said, “Set your goals high, and don’t give up!”
Her company typically staffed twenty to thirty employees, depending on the project, and she had many long-term employees. She believed that the company’s success came from having a highly competent team and providing quality service.
One of Stephen Enterprises’ greatest accomplishments includes a contract for $3,238,000 with Safeco Fields, where they provided all of the exterior glass in 1999. They also provided service for multiple Sound Transit Stations, Swedish Medical Center, and Ballard Block.
She is now looking forward to retiring, so she can spend more time with her family, traveling, and watching the sun set. She is excited about the auction, and the closure it will bring. She will continue to work in the commercial real estate industry.
