Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) July 25, 2013 -- Keeping pace with the rapid evolution of mobile technology and consumer expectations requires a special blend of art and science. Graceful design and user experience deliver the art, while data drives the science behind understanding mobile’s past, present, and future. Hard numbers on mobile usage are incredibly powerful, but are inherently always looking backwards. StepLeader’s Local Media App Trends Report delivers rare customer insight. It will help any news organization understand their audience and adjust their mobile strategy accordingly.
Through an online independent survey partner in the Spring of 2013, StepLeader reached 4,258 people in the United States that owned a smartphone and were at least 18 years young. From this sample, 1,165 people had a local news app installed on a smartphone, tablet, or smart TV and qualified to complete the survey. The report is built upon these qualified survey responses.
Brian Handly, CEO of StepLeader, offers “As a company that lives and breathes mobile everyday, we have a duty to ourselves and to our customers to understand how the digital audience thinks. We value this data for our own use, and also are excited to share it publicly. The more open and transparent the mobile industry becomes, the more quickly we can all improve the mobile experience.”
