Hilton Head Island, SC (PRWEB) February 08, 2016 -- Steve Helwig & Associates Insurance & Financial, serving the families of Hilton Head and surrounding areas with a vital new community enrichment program, has teamed up with Citizens Opposed to Domestic Abuse in support of its efforts to provide assistance to local women and children suffering from intimate abuse. Citizens Opposed to Domestic Abuse (CODA) is a nonprofit organization founded in 1986 with the belief that safety from violence and freedom from fear are universal rights. Staffed by South Carolina certified Victim Service Providers, CODA provides comfortable, safe shelter for victims of domestic violence and their children, as well as offering court accompaniment, adult and children’s counseling and case management. All services are available at no cost to residents of the shelter, as well as on an outreach basis to those living elsewhere. Since domestic abuse knows no social, economic, racial or religious boundaries, CODA also conducts an active community education program.
