Steve Kaufman Art Exhibitions Return to the United States
New York, NY (PRWEB) October 07, 2017 -- Diana Vachier of American Pop Art, Inc. and Steve Kaufman Art Licensing LLC is delighted to present the long awaited return of Steve Kaufman art exhibitions to the United States after the famous pop artist’s untimely death in 2010. The following two events will be held in Manhattan and Brooklyn, New York in Fall 2017:
• “Steve Kaufman: Back In New York” will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender Community Center at 208 West 13th Street, New York, NY, a free exhibit dedicated to the late artist Keith Haring, a fellow classmate of Steve Kaufman at the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York.
• “Steve Kaufman: An Artful Holiday” will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at 92 Luquer Street, Brooklyn, NY, a free exhibit and holiday art sale with twenty percent of proceeds to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
“We are bringing Steve Kaufman home,” said Diana Vachier of Long Beach, NY, official representative and sole heir to all licensing for the late Steve Kaufman. “Approximately 30 works of art will be on display, including many that just concluded a successful 4-year tour of Europe.”
Steve Kaufman “SAK” (1960-2010) was a charismatic pop artist, humanitarian, and pioneer of Neo Pop Art. In his early years, Steve Kaufman assisted Andy Warhol where he learned the art of silk screening. After leaving Warhol’s Factory, Steve Kaufman evolved the art of silk screening by embellishing with oil paint and vivid colors that were embraced globally. He painted icons and trends that stirred the American spirit.
Many Kaufman paintings that toured overseas were featured alongside the Rosini Gutman Collection, the largest privately owned assortment of Andy Warhol art in the world. Recent exhibitions also included a popular series with the municipalities of Trieste and Riccione, Italy; the House of Ferrari Museum in Modena, and the international Coca-Cola Bottle Art Tour celebrating 100 years of the iconic glass bottle.
This month, Steve Kaufman’s tribute painting “Homage to Picasso: Guernica 1997” will join the permanent collection at Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía in Madrid, Spain. Recent museum placements also include Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s residence in Salzburg, Austria; The Shakespeare Birthplace Trust in Warwickshire, England; the birthplace of Ludwig van Beethoven in Bonn, Germany; and The Pop Culture Gallery at The World of Coca-Cola in Atlanta GA.
