The Maughs assert that how to tell a Christian from the “enemy, who seeks to kill, steal and destroy,” is important. This leads to their conclusion that God has ordained his followers to be “fruit inspectors.” Within the pages of “Characteristics of True Christianity,” they identify what good fruit is supposed to look like and provide training in identifying the good fruit, emphasizing the importance of becoming a good fruit inspector.
