Steven Hendricks Joins Vistra as VP of Corporate Communications
TAMPA, Fla. (PRWEB) June 22, 2016 -- Vistra Communications (Vistra), LLC, a communications strategy and professional solutions agency, continues to expand its team with the addition of Steven Hendricks as Vice President of Corporate Communications. He is a former public relations executive with more than 25 years of experience in corporate communications.
As Vice President of Corporate Communications, Hendricks will focus on growing Vistra’s Corporate Communications practice areas including strategic communications planning, executive communications, reputation management, crisis communications, issues management, brand management and corporate social responsibility. He is also responsible for the leadership and overall direction of the corporate communications account team as it relates to client service.
Hendricks was one of Florida Blue’s senior communications consultants for the company’s Corporate Communications Department. In this role, Hendricks was responsible for advising the company’s senior executives around the state on the development and implementation of internal and external communications. He also served as one of the company’s media spokespeople.
Prior to joining Florida Blue, Hendricks served as communications counsel to Brazilian-owned Gerdau Ameristeel and was also a public relations consultant on the 2009 Tampa Bay Super Bowl Host Committee.
He has also served as a global communications director for Motorola, traveling the world, managing and supporting their global brand worldwide through product marketing events, international trade shows and numerous sports marketing sponsorships including the NFL Super Bowl, Major League Baseball, NASCAR and other major marketing events. He also revitalized Xerox’s worldwide image through the company’s ‘Executive Evangelist Program’, a successful international speakers’ bureau. In addition, he developed, created and wrote the Mahogany and Shoebox lines of greeting cards for Hallmark Cards.
