Stockton Treatment Center Launches Adult, Adolescent Programs to Tackle Substance Abuse
Stockton, CA (PRWEB) January 30, 2014 -- A Stockton treatment center is launching adult and adolescent programs to stop alcohol and drug abuse through Drug Addiction Treatment Centers.
Information from a U.S. Department of Health and Human Services report shows "in 2012, there were 1.1 million persons aged 12 or older who had used hallucinogens for the first time within the past 12 months (Figure 5.5). This estimate was similar to the estimates for 2002, 2004 to 2008, and 2011 (ranging from 0.9 million to 1.2 million). However, this estimate for 2012 was higher than the 2003 estimate (886,000) and was lower than the estimates in 2009 and 2010 (1.3 million and 1.2 million, respectively)."
These programs expand upon the center’s already established substance abuse structure. Among the drugs that the Stockton Treatment Center helps adults and adolescents get rid of include Roxicodone, Suboxone, Subutex, Valium, Spice, and Ketamine. Alcoholism, a disease that destroys individuals as well as families, is addressed, too.
The bottom line for the programs' result is to help all clients leave the addiction treatment center with a structure in place for life. People come into these types of centers looking for relief from their pain. Counselors are available to help immediately.
Entering the Stockton Treatment Center gives clients a new chance to be responsible members of society. They come to find themselves and discover new levels of self-esteem.
Detoxification stops all mind-altering substances through cleansing the physical body. This is overseen by a well-trained medical staff. Then this is followed by therapeutic help. Learning to navigate through everyday life without alcohol and drugs is akin to giving someone traveling through different states and/or nations a map and directions. Adults and adolescents will understand that this is a process, one that is not over in a matter of days.
Once people leave the treatment center, outpatient care and support is strongly suggested by counselors. Transitioning back into the “real world” takes time, too, and outpatient treatment allows clients an opportunity to share their victories and struggles with like-minded people.
