Stop Hunger Now Southern Africa CEO Wins Global Leadership Awards
Raleigh, NC (PRWEB) December 09, 2016 -- Stop Hunger Now Southern Africa CEO Saira Khan will receive with two prestigious awards from the Centre for Economic and Leadership Development (CELD) during the South America-Africa-Middle East–Asia Women Summit in Dubai on Dec.13, 2016.
Khan is receiving the Global Inspirational Women Leadership Award in recognition of her work in eradicating hunger as well as the United States Congressional Commendation Award, and will also be inducted into the Global Women Leaders Hall of Fame.
In addition, Khan has been named one of Amazons Watch Magazine’s Top 100 Most Influential Women in Emerging Economies. Published by CELD, the magazine serves as a leading voice for women in the developing regions of Asia, Africa, Middle East and South America.
Furo Giami, CELD executive director, shared that Khan is being recognized for her contributions to the development of the African region through her impactful work at the Stop Hunger Now Southern Africa, as well as her influential role as a seasoned thought-leader in the region.
