Strategic Radiology® Announces Expansion of Affiliate Program
(PRWEB) June 08, 2016 -- Strategic Radiology® (SR) announced today that its successful pilot program of its affiliate program is complete and the program will now be formally launched for groups interested in collaborating with respected independent radiology groups from across the country.
Launched in November 2014 as a pilot project, Strategic Radiology recruited 7 progressive groups from across the country as its initial affiliate members. As affiliate members, these groups have been able to collaborate with other SR groups and have access to SR products and services, including the SR Subspecialty Telerad Partners (SRSTP), SR Group Purchasing Organization (SR-GPO), the SR Patient Safety Organization (SR-PSO), and the web based Collaborate physician forum, where best practices are shared in a secure environment.
“The success of the affiliate program is significant because it clearly demonstrates the value SR brings to independent practices that share the organization’s vision of clinical quality excellence as well as patient safety,” said Arl Van Moore, Jr, MD, FACR, SR CEO. “The caliber of the groups that joined under this pilot affiliate program have brought added value to SR through their unique practice infrastructures, ideas and innovations, irrespective of size or geographic location.”
The groups from across the country that are currently part of the SR affiliate program
include:
• Casper Medical Imaging and Outpatient Radiology; Casper, WY
• Medical Center Radiology Group; Orlando, FL
• Modesto Radiologic Medical Group (MRMG); Modesto, CA
• Professional Radiology, Inc.; Cincinnati, OH
• Radiologic Medical Services; Iowa City, IA
• Rome Radiology Group; Rome, GA
• Southeast Radiology, Ltd.; Glen Mills, PA
“Our participation with SR through the affiliate program has exceeded our expectations and has proven to be a worthwhile endeavor for our group in a variety of ways,” said Dr. Colin O'Brien, president of Radiologic Medical Services based in Iowa City, IA. “I highly encourage groups that are similar to current affiliate members to seriously consider the opportunity to become involved with Strategic Radiology. SR provides the resources necessary to progress to the next level and become more prepared for the transitions happening within the practice of radiology."
SR Chief Development Officer Richard “Rick” Brown is leading the expansion effort and is working with interested groups to provide them with participation details. These group practices range from 9 to nearly 40 radiologists, but size is not a determining eligibility factor for groups to participate in this alternative membership model.
“The affiliate program model is a good fit for groups considering consolidation or aligning with a larger practice network to preserve their independence and strengthen their practice offering,” said Brown. “Now that the program is out of its pilot phase, we expect this program to gain a lot of traction.”
