Stratford School Announces New Campus in Mission Viejo
Saratoga, Calif (PRWEB) December 01, 2016 -- Stratford School, a leading independent private school based in Silicon Valley, announces the opening of a new Southern California campus located in Mission Viejo. The new preschool through 8th grade campus will open for the 2017-2018 academic year.
The new Stratford School is a partnership between Stratford and Carden Academy, which has been operating in Mission Viejo since 1994. “By bringing together Carden and Stratford, we will provide our parents, students, employees, and the community-at-large, with a stronger school. We are already collaborating on infusing our curriculum with Stratford’s STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) cross-curricular approach and will continue to provide a balance between learning and character development,” states P.L. de Avila, Carden Academy Director.
Stratford will be adding Preschool to the Mission Viejo campus in order to provide a comprehensive program from preschool through 8th grade. Stratford will invest in new technologies, teacher training, and facility upgrades. Carden Academy will continue to operate as Carden through the remainder of this academic year.
“Both Stratford and Carden Mission Viejo were founded with the same vision for an outstanding educational experience for their students in a caring environment where children are seen and heard and develop into creative problem-solvers, innovators, and leaders,” says Stratford founder, Sherry Adams. “This partnership brings an even stronger learning experience to our students. Educators from both schools are excited to deliver a balanced, STEAM curriculum to Mission Viejo.”
Recognized as a top-tier independent private school, whose students historically matriculate to highly-ranked, first choice high schools, Stratford School offers an exceptional academic experience from preschool through middle school. Stratford School’s formula for success lies within its unique combination of high academic standards, culture of caring, and passionate faculty that fosters curiosity and achievement in each student.
Stratford School’s reputation precedes its migration south, having received accolades from Bay Area parents and national academic associations across its 20 Bay Area campuses. Stratford School is the first school in California to receive the prestigious Carnegie STEM Excellence Pathway Digital Seal. Stratford was awarded the 2015 School of the Year at the Synopsys Science and Technology Championship, and was Voted Best of the Bay 2016, by readers of Bay Area Parent. Accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges, WASC commended Stratford for providing “…a rich, well-rounded, challenging, and sequential curriculum that is constantly enhanced.”
The community is invited to an Open House for Stratford School Mission Viejo on January 26, 2017 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m.
